Here's what actually changes 🧵 2/ The old system paid almost anything reposts, clips, aggregated content. The new one only pays for content that's genuinely yours: your analysis, your voice, your take. Nikita Bier put it simply rewarding the effort to produce something, not just the account that helped it travel furthest. 3/ How you get paid: Only qualified impressions count Premium users, seen on Home Timeline, 50%+ of the post visible, one count per user. Replies earn nothing. Never did much, now it's official. 4/ To even apply, you need all of: • Active Premium / Premium+ / Premium Business • 500 verified followers • 500K Home Timeline impressions from verified users, last 90 days (replies excluded) • 18+, account in good standing • Consistent original posting 5/ "Original" isn't as strict as it sounds: ✅ Your own analysis, commentary, context ✅ A clip + your breakdown of what it means ✅ Data + your take ❌ Reposting with a fire emoji ❌ Chart with zero explanation ❌ Filter/crop/caption and nothing else 6/ For crypto accounts specifically: Clip a senator on crypto policy, add ETF flow context, explain the second-order effect → that's original, that earns. Same clip with no take → doesn't count. The insight is the product now, not the footage. 7/ Timeline: Now → Sept 7: old program still pays if you're already enrolled (3 final payouts: Aug 14, Aug 28, final one ~Sept 11) Sept 8: apply for Original Content Rewards Check eligibility anytime → Creator Studio 8/ Quick gut check before you post: Strip your text out is the post still worth anything on its own?
